"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.

I do not mean to offend you with my latest wallpapers just the radicals who sent me those messages, Apple computers are great if that's what you like, me I will stick with Linux and windows.

I personally use a Mac for my primary computing but I do own two PC's running XP Pro and Windows 7 Beta, along with one that dual boots Ubuntu so while I'm mainly a die hard Mac girl, I'm not anti-PC either.... variety is the spice of life.
